Imagine how your life would be…
if only you could get the inspiration, strategies and
support to bring out the passion within you and
fully become a Woman on Fire?

Dear wonderful woman:

In all my years coaching women, I have never met a woman yet who didn’t – somewhere in her deepest depths -- have a spark of a great idea or a longing for herself that she wanted to bring out and share with the world.

Our lives are so busy. We are usually taking care of every thing and everyone else – leaving our greatest dreams and desires to discover or on the back-burner.

That’s why several years ago I started to introduce and connect the fabulous women I knew and worked with so they could meet each other and learn how “isolation is the dream-killer.” In these gatherings they could find and share what they were “on fire” about and receive the support and inspiration they needed to go after their dreams.

We call ourselves Women on Fire®. We celebrate and support each other’s successes. We get together at tea parties or in coaching groups…and once a year we travel to a city and hold a Women on Fire Retreat. And, you are invited!

I’d love to meet you and hope you’ll consider joining us in Chicago April 23-24, 2010 to learn how you, too, can live the inspired life of a Woman on Fire!

Join me for a powerful, interactive workshop that will help you
Ignite Your True Desires and Take Powerful Steps to
Transform Your Work and Your Life!

You can ignite the passion within you and take steps to become the boldest and best expression of who you are! Become the Woman on Fire that you truly are.

I invite you to spend an extraordinary weekend surrounded by the uplifting energy of other great women like you, along with educator and motivational speaker Stedman Graham; stand-up comic and executive producer of Rosie O’Donnell’s radio show Janette Barber; and co-authors from the Women on Fire book who will share how they turned their life struggles into successes!

This is your exclusive invitation to transform your life by attending the 2010 Women on Fire Retreat in beautiful downtown Chicago Friday and Saturday, April 23-24, 2010, at The Embassy Suites/Downtown Lakefront.

At this powerful and special two-day event, we will celebrate your life and successes and launch you into the rest of 2010 toward your dreams, desires and wishes!

If you are one of the fortunate ones to attend a previous Women on Fire event or tea party, I don't have to tell you how special and transformative they are. YOU ALREADY KNOW how significant these events can be, both for your professional life and your personal life!

But, if you haven’t been able to personally experience a Women on Fire event, here’s how to know if this retreat is right for you:

  • You are excited about your life and want practical strategies and support to take it to the next level.
  • You are successful, but you know you want and need to be recharged and reinvigorated.
  • You're going through a transition of some sort and need support, strategies and inspiration to move forward.
  • You are worn out and worn down, and you need a break to reset, reorient and reinvigorate your life toward what you want the most.
  • You have long-held dreams and desires that you just can't seem to make happen fully -- yet!
  • You are dazed, disappointed and wondering what happened to all the joyous dreams you used to have. Let’s dust them off so you can start moving toward them again.
  • You are tired of the same old stuff and want to try something new and enlivening.
  • You’ve got it all on paper but things still just don’t feel right… there is emptiness where your joy should be.
  • You understand the value and benefit of spending two days with other talented, inspiring women and you want the opportunity to share and celebrate your life and theirs.

If even one of these statements describes what you’re feeling and captures what you want for your life right now, that’s a good sign that this event is for you!

"Debbie Phillips has the amazing ability to bring together women of passion who can inspire each other. She is a Woman on Fire!"
--Ellen Pearlman, former magazine editor, New York City

I started Women on Fire Events and Tea Parties six years ago to create safe and uplifting communities of wonderful women who support each other's growth, dreams and success.

Since then, from these gatherings of fabulous women, businesses have been born, careers have grown, dreams have been fulfilled, friendships have been created and collaborations have abounded.

These are women who, like you, want to live the best life possible, to make a difference in their families, communities and world, and to achieve a sense of accomplishment and peace of mind.

And the magic I mentioned above is what frequently occurs after just a few hours at our Women on Fire tea parties.

So, can you even imagine what's going to happen in our two-day retreat filled with uplifting guest speakers, expert guidance from executive and life coaches, and connections with other amazing women?

I know many of you may worry about taking time away from your family and even spending money on yourself – despite how reasonably priced this retreat is – for such a special event that is designed solely for your joy and learning.

I’ll let working mother Julie Moorehead tell you about her experience:

"On my way to my first Women on Fire retreat, I was definitely having feelings of doubt and guilt. This was the first time in such a long that I had invested in myself and I was definitely feeling guilty. I was taking a day off from work (that never happened!) and I was feeling guilty about spending the money on myself instead of on my family.

About an hour into the retreat, all my doubts and feelings of guilt evaporated! By the end of the retreat, I was so energized to find focus in developing my goals.

I felt supported and I had a firm belief that the money and time were well spent! I felt empowered for the first time in years to invest in myself and my potential!

I just want to shout from the rooftops how amazing this experience has been and encourage every woman I meet to take part. It can truly change your life!"
--Julie Moorehead, corporate national sales director, Columbus, Ohio

In only two days (or longer for those of you who want to spend extra time enjoying all the incredible sights of Chicago), you can have an experience that is designed to carry you through the year – or even beyond!

"With Women on Fire, Debbie has created an environment where you are completely transported to a place of safety, energy, possibility and support; where total strangers become instant friends, and treat each other as if it’s always been so. What an honor to be included!"
--Jenifer Madson, speaker, coach and author of “A Financial Minute,” Denver, Colorado

So… now that you have a sense of the transformation that is possible for you at this Women on Fire event, here’s a closer look at all that you’ll receive as a participant and member of this life-affirming and transforming gathering.

A sampling of what you can expect during our two-day retreat:

Inspiring guest speakers:

  1. Wise words of inspiration and support from educator, motivational speaker and author Stedman Graham. You all know him as Oprah Winfrey’s long-time partner, but did you know he is the best-selling author of “You Can Make It Happen” and six other books? He also is the chairman and CEO of S. Graham & Associates, a management and marketing consultantcy that specializes in corporate and educational markets. As a businessman and educator, he lectures and conducts seminars for businesses and organizations around the country.

  2. Six-time Emmy Award winner, author, and stand-up comic Janette Barber will be our keynote speaker on Day 2. Janette is a six-time Emmy Award-winning producer who is currently the executive producer for Rosie O’Donnell’s SIRIUS XM show Rosie Radio. Janette has worked for many years with Rosie, including as head writer for Rosie’s syndicated television show as well as the “Hot Topics” writer on The View. A popular guest speaker and successful author herself, Janette is an original member of Women on Fire, having attended the very first Women on Fire Tea Party in New York in 2004.

  3. Laurie Forster, The Wine Coach®, is a wine educator who has traveled the world in search of great wines. She is a sparkling presenter, dedicated to demystifying wine, “one glass at a time.” Her weekly radio show titled “Something to Wine About” is heard each week on WBAL 1090 AM. Laurie is the author of The Sipping Point and a co-author in the Women on Fire book. Laurie will host one of her specialty wine tastings at the close of the retreat’s first day!

  4. Many of the Women on Fire book co-authors will also be attending the retreat. You’ll meet them and also Women on Fire coaching leader Andrea Dowding ... and more!!

During the retreat:

  1. You’ll have time to connect with other women and gain new ideas, insight, support and encouragement so you can make the leap forward the life you know is inside you.

  2. You will have interactive experiences to celebrate where you've been and next steps toward what you really want in your life. (Rest assured, you will never be called on or forced to speak if you don’t want to.)

  3. You will relax and have fun in the comfortable, beautiful surroundings of a great suite hotel.

  4. You can have a book personally signed by Stedman Graham, Janette Barber (author of Embracing Your Big Fat Ass!) and the Women on Fire co-authors. Women on Fire book editor and co-author Kacy Cook will also be signing her brand-new children’s book Nuts, which has just been released to rave reviews!

"I always leave feeling blessed to be part of such a special event, and feeling energized about my own life and potential!"
--Allison Barry, software sales executive, Boston

As a life and executive coach who’s worked with busy professional women for the past 15 years (many of whom are moms, too), I understand the demands on your precious time and energy.

As women, we are so busy trying to hold everything together there is little time left for us to focus on ourselves.

With all you do, you deserve to give yourself this one
deliciously delightful weekend!

"The Women on Fire teas are ‘the gift that keeps on giving’ months after the event through the creative ideas and support that are generated during the event."
--Liz McCabe, executive recruiter, New York City

So that you will have a very clear picture of what you’ll experience and receive as part of the Women on Fire retreat, here’s a detailed overview of what each day of the retreat will look like:

On Day 1, you will:

1 Hear motivational speaker Stedman Graham share his personal insights and encourage you to go after your dreams and vision; he will also answer questions from you!
2 Meet new women who will inspire you and support you.
3 Share what you are “on fire” about or not – no one ever has to speak or say anything she doesn’t want to at any Women on Fire event.
4 Engage with Women on Fire book co-authors and meet them personally. There will be three panels during the two days – one on Transitions; another on Finding your Passion; and another on Self-Care.
5 Meet Stedman Graham and have him sign a personal copy of one of his best-selling books for you and/or people in your life as a gift.
6 Be invited to an exclusive reception and wine-tasting featuring the celebrated Wine Coach® Laurie Forster, who will share with you her talent of “de-mystifying wine one glass at a time.

On Day 2, the joy and connection will continue and you will:

1 Hear and learn more from Women on Fire co-authors in a panel discussion.
2 Experience the incomparable Emmy-award winning producer and author Janette Barber. You’ll hear her story of triumph over tragedy and learn her secrets and strategies to becoming the success she is today as executive producer of SIRIUS XM’s Rosie Radio. We never know just what Janette is going to say, but I guarantee you will remember it for the rest of your life!
3 Craft a plan for your next steps forward so you can take what you learned and discovered in your two days home with you and put it into practice.
4 Participate in an inspiring closing ceremony before we all say farewell to each other until the next Women on Fire event.
and...
5 Share what you are “on fire” about in your life, but only if you choose too. At our programs, you are never put on the spot, and always have the option to participate or not, as you wish.
6 Have a chance to craft the next steps of your dream, plans and goals.
7 Learn the Number #1 way to keep yourself motivated.
8 Gather a circle of support that will propel you forward.

…and much, much more…

Please note, this event is not for you if:

  • Attending would stress your family finances to the breaking point.
  • You have a hard time being present for other women, listening, sharing, or cheering on others’ successes.
  • You don’t enjoy learning new things.
  • You don’t see the value of investing in your own growth or well-being.
  • You don’t believe that joy, excitement, connection and friendship can go hand-in-hand with learning and growth.
  • You don’t like Chicago, travel, hotels, connecting with new women and making new friends and contacts.

BUT if the description of this event makes you feel hopeful, excited and even a little tingly about what to expect, this could be just the BIG ticket for you to take the next leap forward in your life!

At the last Women on Fire retreat held in Columbus, Ohio, women came from 11 states and from as far away as California, Arizona and Massachusetts.

Why? Because there is something so connecting, unique and uplifting for those who participate in Women on Fire programs.

It's also why Women on Fire events and tea parties have caught fire (pardon my pun!), first in New York City, then Boston, Columbus, Ohio, Los Angeles, Traverse City, Michigan, and on Martha’s Vineyard and soon in Santa Fe, San Francisco and other locations to be announced.

"Very inspirational! Candid talking, making connections and meeting people from so many different backgrounds and discovering so much common ground. As always, Debbie delivers an abundance in every way"
--Jodi Dee, business owner/bookbinder, New York City
